Parsippany – Troy Hills
This traditional living room is from a recent shoot for another real estate agent in my office. This photograph is a two image composite consisting of one flash frame as well as one ambient frame. The longer-exposure ambient shot allowed me achieve brightness in the distant rooms without the headache of using multiple external flashes.
What I like most about this room:
My eyes go right to the painting in this picture, just as they did when I walked into the room in person. I think a nice piece of artwork can really set a room off. When composing this shot I intentionally placed the hallway column just in the frame on the left and the picture frame on the right edge. The result becomes a nice frame-within-a-frame composition. I prefer to have a nice balance of negative and positive space in my real estate photography.
Camera equipment utilized:
Canon SL1 DSLR
Canon EF-S 10-18mm lens
Canon Speedlite 580EX II
Manfrotto 055xDB tripod
Adobe Lightroom CC
Adobe Photoshop CC
